A two egg omelet with onions and cheese
"ACHOO!!" that dash of pepper made me sneeze.

MB[F]W!!!

...did i have one busy week??? YESSIR!!

I've been meaning to blog sooner but it was way too much for me to even think of typing while i had school and fashion week to cover...

But anyway...YES i was at the tents for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week as a volunteer (a.k.a. wear-a-volunteer-tee-shirt-and-slacks-and-dont-speak-to-any-of-the-guests-unless-you're-helping-them-find-their-seat-GIRL)...it was a pretty cool experience...i learned a few things, made some new friends and saw some great shows.

I saw four shows...Argentine Designers, Phillip Lim/ AmEx, Tracy Reese and Tuleh...I loved them all but of course i have a special place in my heart for TR...(being that i interned with them for 4 months).

I saw all of my old supervisors at TR and the celeb attendance was on point!! And of course the clothes were too...

The only downfalls of the week were me sleeping through my alarm twice and missing two classes.. o_0
But I think it was allllll worth it!! :)

Anyway....CIAO BELLAS!!! more to come soon...

[F]ASHION'S NIGHT OUT

O YES!!! FASHION WEEK HAS BEGUN!!!! WOOHOOO!!!

So i kicked it off with my girls (plus one Y-chromosome) at Fashion's Night Out.

We walked from W.27th and 7th avenue to 60th and 5th...talk about excercise...
It was well worth it...excitement was all through the air.
It seemed like all of Manhattan was trying for a best dressed award...of course I was the exception.

OUTFIT: Purple and black lumberjack button-up, jeans, white nikes. (started off with black leather chinese laundry boots but my feet were screaming...o well.)
But my girls looked fab! Soo mad we didnt get to take any pics...all of us had camera issues.

Anyway I got an airbrush makeover at Sephora, we went to Macy's and saw Michael Kors and Debra Messing...saw Ms. Jay, of ANTM fame, at H&M...and the Olsen twins at Barney's...

This is the only picture I got that night before my phone died...check my girl Arielle handling security in the left corner...go girl!)

The night ended with us finding out via Twitter that we should have been in Soho with Pharell, Kid Cudi and Janelle Monae; and my legs feeling like the Tinman before his oiling (my feet were also crying).

On the plus side...my homie Latrice found a free mannequin bust on the street...lol.

It was all for the sake of fashion and a fun night out...too me it well worth coming home at 2 AM for 3 hours of sleep...

"ooOO!! ooOO!!...GIRLS DAY!!"

P.S. Sunday night i hit the tents!!! EEEKKK!!! =]

L[A]BOR DAY!!!

SOOOOO....TODAY IS LABOR DAY!!!

Which means... #1 no school!!! ...#2 the last day to wear white...(yea right) AND...#3 THE WEST INDIAN DAY PARADE!!

Too bad for me i had to go to my school and retrieve soe things to do last minute homework....yes i am a procrastinator.

But anyway...i repped my Bajan (Barbadian...which ever u prefer) heritage with some gold and blue eyeshadow, yellow nails, a I <3 BARBADOS belt and, a blue black and yellow beaded bracelet (from barbados). Of course i was only mildly dressed compared to most...

But while i was on the train, frustrated at the fact that i wasn't in my bed watching TV...i took note of a few things...

1) Brooklyn and Queens are FULL of Jamaican and Guyanese people!! Ya'll REALLY roll deep....I didnt spot one single Bajan! Maybe i was on the wrong train...idk.

2) Labor day is an excuse for girls/women to wear as little as possible.... I used to think it was the heat that did it. I thought that the carribbean-ish weather was what had people walking around in bikinis and pum-pum shorts... But today with the temperature in the mid 70s i realized i was wrong.

Im partly glad I didnt see any Bajans today because if they were wearing anything close to what i saw today, I would have bowed my head in shame....smh...o well at least its only one day...(for most people o_0)

and lastly...

3) ALLLL the west indians live in Rosedale!!!! And which bus did i have to take to get home??? THE ROSEDALE BUS!!! omg!! Longest line evaaaaa!!!! Then when I finally got on the bus, I had 2 deal with 2 loud boys speaking patois and singing "AY YOU GAL WIT THA TITE UP SKIRT!!!"....smh. what a day...

I LOVE NEW YORK!!! LOL

[C]hris on Larry King...

So I finally watched Chris brown's Larry King interview in its entirety...and of course i have a few things 2 say about it...

1) I think that this interview was very much needed. Some good points were made by his lawyer. He said that other people that he has worked with want to find a way out of admitting to what they have done but Chris came upfront with it and just wanted to get it all out in the public. Chris seemed very nervous and was very conscious about using the right words to express himself but, I think this may have allowed people to stop looking at him as a CELEBRITY and just see him as human. Humans make mistakes...
Yes he made a big mistake but he isn't denying it and he is very apologetic...how many people would be that way in his situation??

2) I LOVE momma Joyce....she seems like the nicest person ever. Alot of mothers wouldn't have stood by their child's side in a situation like that. They would be too embarrassed or ashamed to have their face on TV like that. I love that she still represented her son...even though he was wrong she cared about him enough to stick by him.

and...

3) I am STILL a Chris Brown fan!!! ...sorry but me and Chris' relationship is far from over....i dont care if he's still in love with RiRi....LOL. And might I add...he looked quite delicious in that outfit...im just saying... ;)

Keep ya head up Chris!! Make us proud!!

MUAH!!<3<3<3
